03 - Auferstehung

Kirsten mainly keeps to herself. She is more than a little annoyed that a foreign a voice can permeate her brain unsanctioned, but nonetheless she slings her bow over her shoulder and makes her way to the town square.

Moribus, excited about his new tatoo and telepathic abilities, heads over to Fantasy Costco.  He walks by the long checkout lines, eventually reaching the pet section.  He sees pictures of cute kittens, then realizes he forgot to summon his little guy, so he casts Summon Familiar.  In his hand materializes a Quasit, which Moribus gives a few pets.  The Quasit smirks, pushing into Moribus' hand for better pets.  

"Hey Q, long time no see buddy!"  The Quasit hops up and down excitedly, drawing some concerned looks from Fantasy Costco shoppers.  "Hey, don't you have something better to do, like buy up a bunch of toilet paper or something?" snaps Moribus.  "Don't worry about them Q, they don't know you like I do, you're good".  Q gives an evil looking smile and nods.

Moribus pushes his way through the crowd, eventually reaching the jewelry section, stopping in front of the "Ring of the Grammarian" and its somewhat unattainable price tag.  "This is really neat Q, it lets me rename my small roster of spells for comedic effect and occasional usefulness.  It's a bit too rich for my blood right now, but maybe one day we can afford it." explains Moribus.  Q slowly nods, understanding the importance of this item, then jumps over to it and begins to reach for it.  "No Q! Let's not be shady, we have to abide by Fantasy Costco's rules and pay for it fair and square. One day Q, one day, we have to be patient".

Q hangs his head, nods, then hops back to Moribus' hand without the ring. Moribus heads back to the pet section to cheer up Q, who his eyes go wide with interest as he spots the costume section. "Which one do you like Q?" Q briefly polymorphs into a centipede then points at a cute snake costume, then into a frog, pointing at a cute rabbit costume. Finally he transforms into a bat and flies up to a spooky but cute dragon costume. "You got it buddy!" says Moribus as he grabs all three, which he sees are on sale for 25g, buy two get one free. After a lengthy checkout, the two walk out with the new costumes and head back to Room Reclaimers HQ.

Dwalin categorises the new voice in his head and peruses the HQ's archives. When the summons comes, he neatly stacks the scrolls and volumes away where he found them and makes his way to the square.
